About the Program

The B. Pharm program is a four-year undergraduate course that provides in-depth knowledge of pharmaceuticals, drug formulation, and clinical practices.

It prepares students for careers in pharmacy, research, healthcare, and regulatory affairs. The program includes practical training in laboratories, hospitals, and the pharmaceutical industry. Graduates can pursue higher studies, register as pharmacists, or work in various healthcare sectors.

Curriculum

The B. Pharm curriculum is designed to provide a strong foundation in pharmaceutical sciences, drug formulation, and patient care. It includes:

  • Pharmaceutical Chemistry – Study of medicinal chemistry, organic chemistry, and analytical techniques.
  • Pharmacology – Understanding drug actions, mechanisms, side effects, and therapeutic uses.
  • Pharmaceutics – Covers drug formulation, dosage forms, biopharmaceutics and industrial pharmacy.

Practical experience in B. Pharm equips students with hands-on training in pharmaceutical formulation, drug analysis, and clinical pharmacy. Licensing and Certification

Graduates can register with the State Pharmacy Council, obtaining a license to practice as a registered pharmacist. A registered pharmacist can work as professionals in community pharmacies, hospitals, pharmaceutical industries, and government sectors.

Individuals with a B. Pharm qualification can find employment in various healthcare settings, such as community pharmacies, hospitals pharmacies, retail pharmacies and pharmaceutical companies. Eligibility

To pursue this program student must have

Pass certificate in Higher Secondary School or 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Maths or Biology as a subject.
