The world of finance and investments came closer to students, professionals, and investors at DBS Global University through a Regional Investor Awareness Seminar on “Introduction to Securities Market”, organized in collaboration with the National Stock Exchange of India Ltd. (NSE) and the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI).
The seminar focused on building financial literacy, understanding regulatory frameworks, and strengthening awareness about investor rights. It was graced by Dr. Sanjay Jasola, Vice Chancellor, Dr. Rajeev Bharadwaj, Pro Vice Chancellor, Dr. Shalini Singh, Area Chair, and CS Atul Kumar Rawat, Convener of the Seminar.
Keynote sessions were delivered by experts from NSE. Mr. Pawan Kumar Bhardwaj, Senior Incharge (Regulatory), NSE Delhi Region, drew on his 16+ years of experience in stock exchange compliances and investor services. CS Shruti Sharma, In-charge of NSE Uttar Pradesh Region, highlighted the importance of compliance, transparency, and investor awareness, building on her 11+ years of expertise in the field.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sanjay Jasola emphasized that education must go beyond classrooms and equip students with practical industry insights that prepare them for the dynamic demands of the financial sector.

The event was made even more special with the presentation of the iconic and prestigious NSE Bell to the university, a proud moment made memorable as it was presented by alumna CS Shruti Sharma, now heading NSE Uttar Pradesh.
