DBS Global University recently hosted an engaging guest lecture by Mr Nitien Vashishta, Vice President at Vodafone Idea, on New Age Retail and the Future of Managers. The session offered students valuable exposure to leadership perspectives shaped by real-world corporate experience in a fast-evolving business landscape.
With over 27 years of industry experience, Mr Vashishta, who is also a Life Coach, Executive Coach, Motivational Speaker, and Certified NLP Practitioner, shared practical insights on the impact of technology, shifting consumer behaviour, and changing leadership expectations within the retail sector.
The lecture helped students gain clarity on the skills and mindset required of future managers in a digital, agile, and customer-focused environment. By linking industry realities with leadership thinking, the session encouraged students to look beyond job roles and prepare for continuous learning and transformation throughout their careers.
