At DBS Global University, we believe that education is the most powerful tool to transform lives and shape societies. In collaboration with the Anti-Narcotics Drugs Committee, we organised an engaging initiative around a thought-provoking theme:
“Education over Punishment: Is Community Reeducation the Most Effective Path to Reducing Drug Abuse?”
The event featured a Quiz Competition and a Poster Making Activity, designed to spark dialogue, inspire creativity, and encourage students to look at drug abuse from a perspective that goes beyond punitive measures. By blending knowledge with expression, the initiative gave our students the platform to voice their ideas, challenge traditional notions, and envision more compassionate, impactful solutions.
Through this experience, students not only deepened their understanding of the social and psychological aspects of substance abuse but also realised the role of empathy, awareness, and community-driven approaches in creating lasting change.
At DBS Global University, we are committed to nurturing socially responsible individuals who use their education to address real-world challenges. This initiative was a step towards that vision, empowering young voices to build a healthier, safer, and drug-free tomorrow.
