Students of Doon School of Law recently participated in an enriching interaction session with the Hon’ble Chief Justice of India, Dr D.Y. Chandrachud. The session offered these budding lawyers a rare chance to step into the world of the judiciary and understand the values that shape India’s legal system at the highest level.
The Chief Justice spoke about how the practice of law is evolving with technology, why empathy must remain at the heart of justice, and how young legal minds can bring meaningful change to society. Students asked questions about judicial careers, legal ethics, and the responsibilities that come with becoming a future lawyer.
The atmosphere was full of curiosity and excitement. Many students walked out feeling clearer about their purpose and more inspired to pursue law with integrity and courage.
One of the participants shared, “Meeting the Chief Justice was something I never imagined happening so early in my journey. Hearing him speak about empathy and responsibility made me see the profession in a whole new light. I feel more confident and motivated than ever.”
The session beautifully reflected the Doon School of Law's commitment to providing real-world exposure and shaping informed, confident, and socially responsible legal professionals.
