The Backpackers Club at DBS Global University recently organized an unforgettable Kedarkantha trek, where students from all domains came together to embark on a journey of adventure, camaraderie, and self-discovery.
The trip began early on Thursday morning, as students departed from the college, greeted by the unpredictable rains of Dehradun, which added an element of excitement to the journey. The next day, the trek officially began from Sankri to Juda Ka Talab, where the group settled under the starry sky in sleeping bags and tents, experiencing the beauty of the mountains at night.
The following morning, the group began their ascent towards the Base Camp, full of energy and anticipation. Equipped with gaiters, spikes, and trekking poles, they made their way through the snowy terrain, excited for what lay ahead. Upon reaching the base camp, the students indulged in playful snowball fights, with the boys and girls engaging in a friendly battle. After an early dinner, they rested early, preparing for the final push to the summit.
At 1:30 AM, the group awoke to begin their summit trek. The path was challenging but awe-inspiring, with the moonlit sky casting a magical glow over the snow. Though the weather was unpredictable, the winter line was a breathtaking sight, and the journey to the peak remained one of the most beautiful treks ever experienced.
The trek was not just about reaching the top; it was about creating lasting memories, forming bonds, and embracing the beauty of nature.
