The DBS Bulls & Bears Club at DBS Global University hosted a highly engaging Starter Session on “Picking Stocks for Beginners”, aimed at helping students take their first confident steps into the world of investing.
Led by Mr. Arvind Dutta, CEO of Marigold Wealth Management, the session broke down the complexities of the stock market into clear, practical concepts. Mr. Dutta explained how stock prices move, what influences investor sentiment, and how beginners can identify fundamentally strong companies. He guided students through the basics of reading financial statements, evaluating business models, and understanding risk–return trade-offs before investing.
