DBS Global University brought together industry leaders and senior academics on 4 December 2025 for a seminar on Geopolitical Disruptions and the Future of Global Value Chains. The session took place at the New Auditorium and drew a strong turnout from students of business, management, and international studies.
The panel featured Mr Ravi Pokhriyal, a global business leader with extensive experience across Asia Pacific, Prof. Rajat Agrawal from IIT Roorkee, and Prof. Suresh Iyer, Director of Doon Business School. Each speaker unpacked the forces that are redefining global supply networks and discussed the challenges companies face as trade patterns shift.
Students heard real-world examples of how political tensions, technology policies, and regional alliances influence business decisions. The speakers also highlighted the opportunities emerging for future managers who can navigate uncertainty with strategic thinking and adaptability.
The seminar opened space for candid discussion between learners and experts. Many students asked detailed questions on supply chain resilience, emerging markets, and the skills needed for global leadership today.
Events like this reflect DGU’s focus on connecting classroom learning with the rapidly changing world of international business. The seminar offered students fresh insight into global value chains and helped them understand how geopolitics shapes everyday business decisions.
