DBS Global University, in collaboration with Innoventures and Young Indians, organised an expert session to address two of the most pressing issues faced by today’s youth, substance abuse and mental health challenges.
The session was led by Dr Mukul Sharma, Clinical Psychologist, who shared deep insights into the psychological and social factors contributing to these concerns. Through real-life examples and interactive dialogue, Dr Sharma emphasised the importance of awareness, early intervention, and building a culture of empathy and resilience.
Students were encouraged to reflect on their own well-being, challenge social stigmas around mental health, and understand how lifestyle choices can shape their future. The session highlighted the need for open conversations, peer support, and community-driven action to create a healthier, more responsible generation.
At DBS Global University, we believe in going beyond academics to nurture holistic growth. By addressing critical issues like mental health and substance abuse, we prepare our students not only to succeed in their careers but also to lead healthier, more balanced lives.
