Students of the Agri Business Management program recently embarked on an enriching industry visit to Patanjali Food and Herbal Park, Haridwar, gaining firsthand exposure to large-scale food and herbal processing operations. The visit offered a unique insight into how traditional knowledge is seamlessly integrated with advanced manufacturing practices in one of India’s leading FMCG and wellness brands.
During the tour, students explored the development of biopesticides and biofertilisers, understanding their increasing importance in promoting sustainable and eco-friendly farming practices. They also had the opportunity to interact with members of Patanjali’s leadership and technical teams, who shared valuable perspectives on research and development initiatives, stringent quality control systems, efficient supply chain planning, and the remarkable growth trajectory of the FMCG sector.
This immersive experience enabled students to align their academic learning with real-world industry applications. Observing operations at such a scale strengthened their confidence, expanded their professional outlook, and deepened their understanding of modern agribusiness dynamics.
By the end of the visit, students returned with renewed enthusiasm and clarity. Having witnessed the systems, processes, and pace of the industry, they are now better equipped to step into internships and professional roles with practical insight—ready to contribute meaningfully and make informed decisions early in their careers.
